I am posting this hoping its going to open somebody’s eyes. I have purchased VW Jetta and as soon as I drow off the lot problems started. For any repair that was suppost to happen, dealership service department diagnosed it wrong. For over 30,000km they were replacing the wrong parts ie. noise in the back of the car – they said it was tires, that got replaced .List goes with replacing until the day worranty was out. All of a sudden the problem was diagnosed properlly – but car were not under warranty any more.
Same thing with AC, complained from day 1 that air is not working properly. They old us that we don’t know what we are talking about – AC is working. Then, AC quit completely…service dept. replacet the switch…ups, after $250.00 that’s not the problem. They said IT COULD be your compressor (not sure tho). Its going to cost you around $1800 to fix it, and if that’s not the problem you are SOL. Hm…called the 1-800-822-8987 and all other #’s that we found to complain and the best they can do for us is give us $1000 voucher to purchase a new car. Did I mentiond that car are only 3.5 years old! I’m still paying for the purchase (5.5 yrs) and I’m having all this problems sine the begining. Anyway- my msg is THINK GOOD before you purchase VW vehicle – because you might be SOL just like me and you will throw your money away. Good luck to you!

VW is a great product! Where else could you purchase a high performance vehicle for about 13K for a golf and 20k for jetta’s? VW has better driving and has made a product that is able to drive longer in between oil changes. With the synthetic oil, you are able to drive up to 10K mi instead of your basic oil change? Along with 3yr/36K mi, CAREFREE MAINTINACE? All you have to do is make your car payment and put in the gas to drive. The only other company that I know of to do that is Mercedez Benz (and we all know how much a base model is!!!) So why not buy a VW? It has a higher RESALE Value than a Ford, Chevrolet, Mazda, etc…Plus, if your a electronic’s type of person, you’ll love the new features that VW has come up with…it even has a slot to put in a SD Card that can hold pictures, music files, etc… Gene Messer Volkswagen (806)793-8844

I have been waiting 11 weeks for a replacement part for a warranty repair for a 2010 Golf. If you are in the market for a car I would rethink buying a VW.
