GreenCar.com just released their list of nominees for their “Green Car of the Year” award and, surprise, Volkswagen has an entry on the list. And, surprise surprise, the VW nominee happens to be a TDI clean diesel. On second thought, perhaps the element of surprise isn’t what it used to be, considering all the accolades VW has been receiving of late. In any case, the new VW Golf TDI is sure to pick up where the Jetta TDI left off, as its impressively sporty performance, outstanding fuel economy* and “surprising” affordability have already made it a big hit with the media and car enthusiasts.
